Support science and education

The purpose of the Research Foundation of LUT University is to support and promote research and education at the LUT university, LAB University of Applied Sciences and Saimaa Vocational College Sampo .

The foundation awards grants for research at LUT University, such as dissertations for the university and Master's theses that are closely connected to scientific research. The foundation also awards scholarships for the students at LAB University of Applied Sciences and Saimaa Vocational College Sampo.

In addition, the foundation gives e.g. research, study and travel grants to university students and employees, invites visiting teachers and lecturers, supports the publication of scientific research results, promotes education and research within the scope of its duties, acquires and owns research equipment and supports and promotes activity related to its duties in other comparable ways.
